They see the possibility of establishing this innovative way of living on Ireland's inland waterways. Recent advise by waterways Ireland that one needs to apply for permission as a development simular to a Marina or Jetty on Waterways Ireland property. Barges only pay a small yearly permit from Inland Waterways Ireland and have to be moved on a regular basis.
